JAMMU: In support of their demand of regularisation of their services, the daily rated, ITI trained and CP workers of PHE Department, who are on Kaam Chhoro Hartal for the last three days, on Wednesday extended it for 72 hours under the chairmanship of Tanveer Hussain.
While addressing, Tanveer said that despite working in the department for more than decades they are still awaiting regularisation.
“We have so far held protests but their demands have remained unfilled despite constitution of various committees and sub-committees in this regard by the authorities at the helm of affairs,” he said.
“A total of 16,070 daily wagers and 1,743 ITI trained have been approved and transmitted by the Chief Engineer PHE Jammu to the Administrative Department for considering their regularisation but department failed to announce the same,” Tanveer said.
Tanveer appealed to the Governor N.N Vorha to solve their long pending demands at the earliest.
Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Manjeet Singh, Jeevan Singh, Pawan Kumar, Subash Kumar Sharma, Tilak Raj, Arun Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Banu Partap, Toffan Singh, Nissar Ahmed, Altaf Hussan, Sat Paul, Romi Verma, Sahzab, Sakoor, Ashok Kumar, Maqbool Hussan, Farooq Ahmed, Raffo Ahmed, Soan Chowdary, Kuldeep, Bhushan, Dhani Ram , Shokat Chib Junid, Ahmed, Vickar Ahmed, Sushil Kumar and Sanjay Kumar were present in the demonstration.
