PHDCCI holds Executive Council meeting of Jammu Chapter

JAMMU: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu Chapter, held its Executive Council meeting, here. Meeting was chaired by Rahul Sahai, Chairman PHDCCI Jammu.
After welcoming all the members of the Executive Committee, Chairman briefed them about the activities that the Jammu Chapter had organized during past year. He informed the members that PHD Jammu office is now fully functional after the Covid period and the members should avail its services.
Later Sahai requested the members to share their suggestions and issues which they want to take up with the Jammu administration / authorities.
The issues and suggestions that members discussed were like, funding and fast track process for the IT Start ups in J&K, stakeholders’ consultation during policy formation, problems related to land conversion, development of industrial estates where land has been allotted, reservation of industrial land for local people, single window system should run smoothly, provisional registration of units should be given time / extension , industrial plot area circle rates are different for town and cities which need to addressed.
It was also suggested that large scale awareness programmes are required to make people aware about start up policies of the government.
After the Executive Council meeting, an Interactive Session was held with Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu, Rahul Yadav, Municipal Commissioner – CEO , Jammu Smart City & Hitesh Gupta, Additional CEO Smart City Jammu.
Hitesh Gupta briefed the members about various initiative and projects that are going on in Jammu related to smart city. He informed them about the Tawi River Front development project.
He shared that at various place of Jammu tracks for cycling and walking are planned. Light and sound show on the walls of Bahu Fort is also on cards.
Under smart city project around 700 cameras will be installed at different places of Jammu city for traffic and surveillance, he added all smart city projects will be completed by June 2023 .
While, welcoming Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, Rahul Sahai said that Mayor has played a vital role in the development of Jammu.
Chander Mohan Gupta, in his address said that administration has taken lot of initiatives, projects for the development of Jammu region. He shared his views about various projects to attract tourism in Jammu region like Gandola project, Beautification of Mubarak Mandi, Jamboo Zoo, International Yoga Center, Garhana Vet Land, Beating Retreat at Suchetghar and other initiatives.
Gupta shared that, a lot of online services are started by Jammu Municipal Corporation for the ease of general public and asked for recommendation to add any other service.
He said that his aim is to make the processes paperless and faceless. At last he said that suggestions, recommendations from PHD Chamber will always be welcomed.
Rahul Yadav, Jammu Municipal Commissioner and CEO, Jammu Smart City informed about the initiatives that J&K administration is taking related to land and properties in J&K. He said that Unique Property Number will be given to all in future and ULIP Number will be used to identify location.
More online services will be introduced and proper feedback will be taken for those online services by the general public he added.
Others who attended and deliberated were Kuldeep Gupta, Sanjay Aggarwal Co-Chairs, Vikrant Kuthalia, Kamal Khurana Sr Secy PHDCCI Delhi, Amarpreet Singh, Sanjay Bansal, Sanjay Gupta, Shantnu Gupta, Harrit Bhalla, Gaurav Bhalla, Arush, Raj Dua, Vinod Gupta, Harbinder Singh, Poorvik Gupta were also present in the meeting along with other members and industry representatives .
