Permanent employment in J&K State Subject Commission

Dear Editor,
The above commission was set up by J&K State Government headed by Dr, Farooq Abdullah as Chief Minister of J&K State. Primarily the purpose of the commission was to adjust the persons as member after retirement who are blue eyed and have very close proximity with the ruling government at that time. For every commission the specific time period is set up for submitting the report from one to three years giving therein the details of the facts for the job assigned and to give suggestions/remedial measures for future good governance.
In this particular case, the members are permanently employed for the last 20 years of their retirement attaining the age of more than 80 years as on date and have looted the honest tax payer’s money which should have been utilised by the government for social objectives. The members have pocketed crores of rupees drawing full salary besides other financial perks from the State Government treasury during this period and still the process seems to be unending. Such type of example will not be found anywhere else in our country.
It is admitted fact that many people from outside have settled as citizen of our State, constructed houses and serving as employees in the J&K State Government departments against the fraudulent State subjects issued from time to time. The Commission as well as State Government did virtually nothing for taking any legal action against such subjects.
The best course will be to abandon the J&K State Subject Commission and powers be vested with Revenue Department of the concern districts for taking strict legal action as warranted under law.
