JAMMU: Various delegations met PCC General Secretary and former Minister Yogesh Sawhney and apprised him about their problems being faced by them due to demonetization and shortage of new currency notes in the bank.
A delegation of Lower Gumat Workers Association led by its President Ashok Kumar, Chairman Kirti Gupta, Bansi Lal, Yash Pal Bhatia and Ramesh Chader, another delegation of Ward No. 5 led by Farooq Salaria, another delegation of Ward No. 6 led by Tinu Khokhar, Anil Kumar and Sandeep Gandotra, a delegation of Ward No. 7 led by Sandeep Kumar and Michal Wazir, delegation of Ward No 1 led by Ram Magotra, Jyotui Sharma, Neelam, Anju, Moika, Anu, Nikhid and Anita, a delegation of Ward No.15 led by Raj Kumar Sodi and delegation of Ward No 19 led by Vijay Manhas met Sawhney and apprised him of their problems.
The delegations narrated their problems regarding shortage of daily use items like ration, vegetable, milk and even in bus fare due to non- availability of money in the ATMs. They are fed up from long queues in front of banks and ATMs and the most unfortunate thing is that after standing in queues hours together, the bank officials alleged that there is no cash and they return empty handed.
Sawhney gave a patient hearing to the delegations and assured them that Congress Party will leave no stone unturned to highlight the problems of people at all levels.
