People suffer, Govt unconcerned: Bhardwaj

STATE TIMES NEWS
BISHNAH: Senior Congress leader, Mohinder Bhardwaj has said that the BJP-led Central and its participated State Governments have utterly failed to secure and safeguard the interests of the people particularly those living under trying circumstances in border areas such as Ala.
Addressing a public meeting here, Bhardwaj said that the people have been exposed to both external threats, posed by Pakistan, and internal challenges result of the lack of vision and misgovernance of the current dispensations.
“On one hand you are braving the bullets of Pakistan army and on the other side the state government has left you at the mercy of the God as much promised relief and rehabilitation measures are nowhere in sight even as the Central Government has completed four and the State Government three years in power,” he said.
“Where are the safe zones including schools and bunkers and where are the health care facilities particularly that needed during emergencies,” he asked adding “To the contrary the government has done nothing to ensure uninterrupted water, power and ration supply through PDS system, to these areas. As a result the people are neither getting these essentials and in the absence of water and power supply have not been able to carry out their agricultural activities.”
In the face of “Jumlabazi” of BJP leaders led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state leadership and falsehood spread by them during the last four years, they stand exposed before the public, he said. “The yearning for change is growing and sooner people would throw BJP out of power both at the Centre and in the state,’ he further said.
Terming the cabinet reshuffle as an eyewash and attempt by the BJP leadership to divert attention from burning issues affecting the common man, he said that it was only an exercise in self-aggrandizement.
“If the BJP leadership is serious they should fix accountability of its outgoing deputy chief minister and the ministers on charges of corruption and inefficiency against them. It is nothing but hoodwinking the people as the Deputy Chief Minister has now been made the Speaker Assembly and others removed from the cabinet will also be suitably adjusted soon,” he said.
Among others who spoke on the occasion included Capt. Wazir Singh, Rajwant Singh, Ghanshyam Sharma, Darshan Kumar Sharma and Dr. Yash.
