People should refrain from divisive politics: Vibodh

RAJOURI: Keeping the traditions of unity in diversity alive, Vibod Gupta, BJP MLC from Rajouri paid obeisance at Gurdawara Sahib, Saranoo on Friday and started the work of slab of Gurdawara and also performed Karya there. MLC was welcomed by the President Gurdawar Parbandhak Committee and lot many workers. The President of the Gurdawra Captain Mohan Singh said that presence of MLC shall inspire people from other sections as well, who shall come forward, for the noble work. He said that Gupta is the only MLC, who took part in all religious activities of Hindus/ Muslims and Sikhs and also plays his role in maintaining peace, communal harmony and brotherhood among all sections of the society.
Gupta in his address congratulated the Gurdawara Parbandhak Committee, for making positive efforts for establishing a Gurdawara at Saranoo. He also said that Sikh community has its own role in the transformation and independence of India. He further reiterated that India is multi religious country and every religion has its own respect and values.
He said that happiness lies in unity and those who remain in conflicts can never progress. Gupta said that, Rajouri District has people from all religions and is volatile in nature, but due to the religious values and teachings, no untoward incident occurs in Rajouri. People are friendly and believe in unity and celebrate all the festivals with each other, which is the beauty of the teachings. He stressed upon the regional divide and said that bettere to the young generation can minimise the ideological differences and can change the attitude of people, for which its our responsibility to strengthen the educational institutions. Maintaining law and order in the State in general and In Rajouri District in particular, is our joint responsibility and we will fulfill it, said Gupta. He also cautioned the public, to stay away from the divisive politics and maintained that Jammu and Kashmir is the integral part of India and shall always remain.
Gupta also released Rs. 2 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for the multi-purpose hall constructed at Saranoo near Gurudawara Sahib and asked the concerned authorities to execute the work at its earliest.
Discussing developmental perspective of the district, Gupta took stock of day to day problems being faced by the general public. In his address, he said that roads are the life lines of the area and completion of Rajouri-Kalakote road shall give boost to business opportunities for the unemployed youth. He said that during the coalition Government all roads, school buildings and Health Institutions are being strengthened. Under Project Tehmeer, 100 schools have been taken up for construction in convergence with MGNREGA all over the District. He also informed that Detailed Project Report is being prepared for the illumination/development of Fort at Dalhori. Tata Pani in Kalakote area is also being developed and shall be put on Tourism map. He maintained that State and Centre Government is taking lot many initiatives, for providing best facilities to the public.
