People rejected BJP’s communal, anti-people agenda: Mir

 STATE TIMES NEWS
BANIHAL: State Congress Chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir on Sunday said that politics of polarisation has come to an end as people have rejected BJP’s communal agenda and anti-people policies.
“BJP has polarised the situation during elections in the country and divided people to gain political mileage. There is no doubt that BJP succeeded in polarising the situation in the country but it is also true that people of country have realised that BJP played a polarisation card to misled people on communal and regional lines,” G.A Mir said while addressing a day-long political convention at Banihal in Jammu region.
The JK PCC Chief said that the same strategy was adopted by BJP in Jammu to defeat the Congress Party but the fact is that Congress Party has secured highest percentage of votes in the Assembly Elections 2014.
He said the double speak and lust for power have exposed BJP and its leaders in front of people and their so called membership drives in Kashmir or Jammu have proved hoax.
“BJP will not succeed to mislead people further by their hollow slogans or bogus membership drive, they just want to remain in limelight to satisfy their mentors in Delhi,” Mir said.
He castigated both PDP and BJP for failure on all fronts and said Coalition Government is neither interested nor concerned to address the issues of people of the state.
“They are trying to adopt those policies in J and K that will benefit only them and not the people. Both PDP and BJP have destabilised the state politically. Instead of concentrating on development and people’s issues they are playing pranks with the people in the name of good governance of PDP and Achhe Din of BJP,” JK PCC Chief said. He said that contradictions in the policies of PDP and BJP have sent wrong and confusing signals in Jammu and Kashmir State.
JK PCC Chief while referring to the local problems expressed anguish over the shortage of Ration in far flung areas of the State. He said Govt’s intentions to provide ration to people as per 2011 census won’t go well in the State as population has risen considerably. “It is surprising that instead of providing ration to every consumer, those families who are registered as per 2011 census are being deleted purely on political grounds”, he said.
Senior Vice President JK PCC and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma said that BJP has lost ground miserably in Jammu province.
“Its slogan Achhe Din has exposed them in front of the people. BJP-PDP Coalition is responsible for the agony and anguish of the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said adding that people will give them a befitting reply.
