RAJOURI: To avoid the threat of water borne diseases due to recent floods and heavy rains, the Block Medical Officer Darhal, under the direction of Director Health Service Jammu and Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, Dr Rajeev Sharma conducted awareness camps at different places by involving community members ,PRIs, school teachers and other local leaders.
BMO Darhal along with Farooq Mir CHO, and other team members delivered lectures on health hygiene to the public at village Sarola, Rajhdhani, Azamtabad, Saaj and other places and requested them to wash their hand before eating meal, drink boiled water only , avoid open door defecation and keep surroundings neat and clean.
During the awareness camps, they distributed chlorine tablets, ORS packets and directed all ASHAs to distribute the same to every house of their village
The awareness programme will further continue in the block so that public is able to understand the gravity of water borne disease and its consequences.
