People made aware on water borne diseases

RAJOURI: On the direction of Director Health Service Jammu and Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, a medical team under the supervision of Dr Iqbal Malik Block Medical Officer Darhal visited different health institute of Thanamandi and Darhal and conducted awareness camp at different places by involving all PRIs, ASHAs, AWWs, teachers and other community members .He directed all the staff to remain present round the clock especially CHC/PHC.
There after team also conducted a medical camp at Azmatabad sub center and distributed chlorine tablet, ORS, and other emergency drugs to the patients.
He also issued directions to all the in charge of health institutes to submit daily report of patients.
BMO Darhal along with Mohd Farooq Mir CHO Thanamandi also delivered lectures on Health Hygiene to the public at different places.
The awareness programme will further continue in the block so that public could to able to understand the gravity of water borne disease and its consequences due to recent flood.
