BHADARWAH: Mehraj-ul-Alam was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the Chenab Valley.
Thousands of devotees thronged to the shrines and Masjids and offered the night-long prayers last night .
The biggest congregation of the Mehraj-ul-Alam function was held at Jamia Masjid and a special programme was also organised at Masjid Sharief Kotli.
Devotees thronged the Masjid during the course and offered prayers.
On the occasion people recite Holly Quraan, Naats beside scholars threw light on importance of the day.
While offering prayers, some of the people turned emotional and could not control their tears. Others could be seen engrossed in thoughtful prayers while seeking refuge in Almighty Allah’s greatness. Similar religious congregations were held across the Chenab Valley including Kishtwar, Doda,Thathri and others.
