Peer Panchal Club wins Volleyball trophy

POONCH: Peer Panchal Volleyball Club clinched the title trophy of the day-long volleyball event which was organised by District Police Poonch in collaboration with Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club at Government Higher Secondary School Loran grounds, here.
In the final, Peer Panchal Club defeated Titanic Volleyball Club in straight sets of 25-18, 25-23, 25-20. The chief guest presented the title trophies and cash prize of Rs 10,000 and Rs 6,000 to the winners and runners-up teams.
Shamim Akhtar, BDC member was the Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts of District Police Poonch by spreading the awareness among the young through the medium of sports. He was all praise for Mohd Tariq, Chairman the Shaheed Manjit Club for his tireless efforts to help the district administration in promoting sports, especially in popular discipline of volleyball.
Surinder Kumar, Principal was the Guest of Honour. Among those prominent present were Bashir Ahmed Kamran, Sarpanch Loran; Sajjad Ahmad, SHO Loran and Ishrat Bhatt, an Urdu poet.
In total, five teams took part in this event and contested on knock-out basis.
The Results: Titanic Club bt Higher Secondary School 3-0; Peer Panchal Club bt Danna Club 3-0; Titanic Club bt Shaikh Club 3-0.
The competition officiated by the technical panel including Ramiz Tariq, Ayaz Ahmad Madni, Sidhart Bhatti, Muzamil Sultan and Mehmood Ahmed.
