JAMMU: Corporater Jammu Cantonment Advocate Jasmeet Kour Pandey on Monday organised a rally for bringing peace in Kashmir which is on boil after the killing of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani in July.
A large number of people and students joined the rally and raised nationalistic slogans besides carrying national flag and placards.
The rally which started from Gobindpura area in Satwari after passing through various localities culminated at Peer Baba Morh.
Jasmeet said that there are fundamental values and traditions in our culture that promote integration among different communities. “It should be our endeavour as the citizens of this country to preserve the rich traditions of communal harmony and pass it over to the future generations”, she added.
She called upon the student community to spread the message of brotherhood and national integration in their surroundings for peace and prosperity of the nation. The participants also took the pledge for fostering communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the country. Manjit Kour, Hameni Sharma, Kulwant Kour, Shail Chattri, Charanjeet Kour, Hardeep Kour, Sunita, Ankush Dogra and Deepu were also present.
