JAMMU: People’s Democratic Party on Friday held a demonstration against Governor N.N Vohra and CAPD department for implementing order of supplying wheat grains instead of Atta and reduction of quota of sugar.
The protest was held under the leadership of PDP leader Vikram Singh Bhadwal.
He said that it is unfortunate that government is mulling to deny Atta to ration card holders and instead will supply wheat grains. He said that the decision is against the government’s claim of progress and development.
Usha Bali said that this order is a burden on poor families and is not acceptable at any cost. She appealed to Governor to re-consider the decision and ensure that ration should be supplied as per earlier norms.
