PDP not responding to Congress support offer: Azad

SRINAGAR: Former Chief Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said Congress has again offered support to PDP for government formation but there has been no response from the latter so far.
Talking to a Srinagar based news agency Azad had nullified the reports that the Congress has offered ‘unconditional’ support to PDP, adding “We have offered our support to PDP so that new government could be formed in the state. We have not offered any unconditional support to it. The reports are not correct’
However, the Congress leader was quick to add that his party has 14 members not just 12. He counted Hakeem Mohammad Yasin and Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami into the fold, saying Congress didn’t field any candidate opposite them during the state elections of 2014.
He added that the final decision lies with the PDP whether it wants to be with the secular forces or with the communal ones to run the state.
