PDP hails Mehbooba for financial assistance to IFERI, tourism package

KISHTWAR: Peoples Democratic Party expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for conducting day long tour of mountainous Kishtwar district.
In a statement here today the Party’s district unit said that the visit of Chief Minister will boost the developmental work in the district.
Mehbooba Mufti visited Kishtwar and besides participating in the annual Urs and annual day Celebration of prestigious Islamia Faridiya Educational and Research Institute the CM laid foundation stone of Tourist Felicitation Center at Gulabgarh Padder. She also met several deputations and reviewed development scenario if the district.
“The people of this mountainous district are also thankful to the Chief Minister for sanctioning Rs 6 crore for uplift of tourism infrastructure in the district in the current financial year besides Rs 50 crore for new tourism infrastructure to come up in next four years”, the statement reads.
The PDP leaders also thanked the CM for announcing financial assistance of Rs 50 Lakh for upgradation and reformation of Islamia Faridiya Educational and Research Institute being run by Auqaf Islamia. The school has produced several legislators, KAS and KPS officers besides academicians, scholars, engineers and doctors over a century of its existence.
