JAMMU: A meeting of National Conference workers was held at Flora Nagbani in Marh. Addressing the meeting, senior National Conference leader and former Minister Ajay Sadhotra alleged that PDP-BJP duo is pushing the youth of the state towards wall.
Sadhotra said that PDP-BJP Government has no policy for providing employment to the youth and even employment generating programmes / schemes (Udaan, Himayaat, SKEWPY) started by previous government headed by Omar Abdullah have been shattered. The need of the hour is to generate employment opportunities for the youth but unfortunately state government is not giving any heed to this important issue.
National Conference leader said that the State has passed through turmoil and turbulence. It becomes duty of the central government and state government to create maximum employment generating avenues for youth to bring them in national main stream. At present, the youth are feeling depressed and distressed which is a very dangerous trend. He asked the government to come out with an efficient employment policy to provide maximum employment to the youth.
The meeting was also addressed by Suraj Parkash Sharma, Raman Singh Langeh, Siddharth Sharma and Aditya Jamwal.
In the meeting, large number of youth left BJP and joined National Conference. Prominent among them included Rakesh Jamwal, Rishav Jamwal, Sehdev, Munna Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Ankush Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Heemanshu, Tony, Shishu Jamwal.
