PDP, BJP should alliance to steer J-K: Movement for Peace

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice Member Kuldeep Kumar Rao on Wednesday said that both the parties BJP and PDP have been given mandate by the people of J and K for formation of a viable and effective government in the State, not withstanding that both the parties have been given fractured mandate.
“In the light of this fractured mandate and the aspirations of J and K people, both the parties should come together to form a consensus for the formation of the Coalition Government which may be in the interest of people of both the regions and the State as a whole”, said Rao.
He stated that the voters of the State have totally rejected Congress and National Conference from both the regions. The people have given their mandate to both PDP in Kashmir and BJP in Jammu region, he said, adding that so in order to respect the mandate of the people, it is necessary for both the parties to desist from taking support of any of the rejected parties like Congress or NC in the formation of the government in the State.
“In the interest of J and K State, both the parties should formulate common minimum programme and carry it forward to fulfill the promises, they have made with the voters during the election campaign”, he added.
