JAMMU: J and K Pradesh Congress Committee condemned the continued cease fire violations and unprovoked Pak shelling on Indian positions and civilian areas in the State.
PCC Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that it is so tragic that Pakistan has repeatedly violating ceasefire and it was unfortunate that the unwarranted firing has adversely
affecting the day today life of civilian population all along the borders, besides causing great loss to
property.
“The people have to shift and migrate from their residences and abandon their fields and cattle due to regular feature of cease fire violations,” he said, demanding that all necessary measures for the safety of people and all sorts of provisions for timely medical facilities to meet the unfortunate happening.
Sharma lashed out at Pakistan for resorting to frequent ceasefire violations and targeting civilian population, which he said intolerable and needs a befitting response from Central Government.
He also reiterated his demand of bunkers and safe shelters for the border area people.
He said that whatever measures were taken by the government that are insufficient and it needs to take more steps to ensure fool proof security and safety of civilian population residing near to the border.
