KISHTWAR: Congress Committee Kishtwar and Youth Congress leaders today held a meeting at Kishtwar in which the participants condoled the demise of Chief Minsiter of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohammed Syed.
Congress leaders expressed their deep shock and grief over the demise of Mufti. The participants prayed for peace to the departed soul. Prominent among those present include Advocate Suman Bhandari , Wassim Makker , Randeep Bhandari , Nadeem Ahmed , Fareed Ahemd , Khalid Maker , Zaid Mintoo , Bilal Maker , Ishtiyaq Ahmed , Anayatulah Ahmed , Sheikh Shahid , Akshay Goswami and Sumair Wani.
BHADARWAH: A Condolence meeting was held at Sartingal, Bhadarwah under the chairmanship of Naved Bhat, NC leader in which the participants condoled the death of Mufti Mohd Sayeed.
INDERWAL: Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Ghulam Mohd Saroori mourned the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Saroori said that Mufti Sahib always kept service before self and his death has created a void in the society. He said Mufti was committed deeply to pro-people ideologies and made significant contributions to the State.
KATHUA: Private Schools Association Kathua unit condoled the sad and untimely demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. A two minutes silence was observed and Almighty was prayed to grant peace to the departed soul.
Those who attended the condolence meeting include Gandharb Singh Katal, Kapil Dev Sharma, Mahi Pal Sharma, Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu, Biwakar Singh Andotra , Rajni Kant Sharma, Rajni Khullar, Satpal Badyal , Ravinder Singh Jasrotia and others.
SUNDERBANI: In a condolence meeting held under the chairmanship of O.P Saraf, the President of the Senior Citizens Council Sunderbani, expressed shock over the demise of Chief Minister of J and K State, Mufti Mohd. Sayeed. The speakers on the occasion said that the services of such a veteran politician and nationalist leader were direly needed to the country at this juncture. “We, the people of J and K State stand bereaved. Services of Mufti as a Home Minister of Govt. India were also remembered by the members” they said.
They said “we have lost a very genuine and nationalistic leader in the demise of Mufti. We also share sorrowful feelings with the bereaved family and party members. May his noble soul rest in peace”.

Office Rajouri where Cultural Officer Dr. Alamdar Adam along with the chairman of Tribal Welfare Society Prof.M.K Waqar and other prominent writers, artists and poets of Pir Punjal region including Abdul Aziz Wani a prominent social worker and veteran teacher, Farooq Muzter Patron Dabistan e Himalaya along with Himalayan Education Society, Dr. Sabar Mirza, Shahbaz Rajourvi President Kashir Markaz Behrote, Fida Rajourvi, Khursheed Bismil founder Patron MET Thannamandi, Nisar Rahi Patron Taleem Ghar Rajouri, Ab.Salam Bahar, Sayed Manzoor Hussain Jaffari, Aziz Hussain Jaffri, Zaheer Abass Jafri(KPS) Dy.SP BGSBU Rajouri, Rubina Mir, Khursheed Mir Janam President Bazm e Khudam e Adab Rajouri, Nazir Hussain Qureshi, M.N Qureshi, Prof.Shabir Hussain Shah Principal Govt PG College Rajouri, Abdul Qayoom Naik Patron Sir Sayed Institute Behrote, condoled the demise of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, saying that the veteran leader had played a significant role in bringing peace in the State.
Pardeep Khanna an artist and AIR Poonch correspondence said that the people of Rajouri -Poonch will remember Mufti for his efforts when the Poonch Rawlakote Road was thrown open on 20th June 2008 for the divided families of Poonch,Rajouri and Rawlakote, for laying foundation stone of BGSBU , PG departments in Rajouri College, Jammu University North Campus Poonch, G and B Hostel Kalakote, Mughal Road Project, River Ans Project in far flung and remote sensing area of Budhal, up gradation of Krishan Chander Garden Poonch, renovation of historical buildings of Poonch – Rajouri particularly and all over state in general.
The gathering said that Mufti was much particular towards the culture, he always said “our biggest and most valuable property is our culture”.
In the end all dignitaries observed two minutes silence and prayed Fatiha for the next endless journey of departed soul.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat to condole the demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at Dak Bungalow, Rajouri.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences, DC Rajouri said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s demise has left a vacuum that would be very hard to fill. He said that State has lost a great visionary whose contribution to the State will always be remembered.
SSP, Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Mumtaz Choudhary besides all district and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
Later, a two minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
