JAMMU: Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu Province sought release of pending wages of daily wagers and CP workers.
The issue to came to fore in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, State President Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC-J&K) who is also the Provincial President, Water Works (PHE) Employees Association. All the Divisional Presidents, General Secretaries and District Presidents represented their respective units and divulged about the issues and demands.
The meeting asserted that instead of releasing the pending wages of daily wagers, they are being rather harassed. It was demanded in the meeting to immediately pay all the Pending Dues to Workers. It was also demanded that the Government should announce the clear cut policy for regularisation of all the daily wagers.
The meeting also expressed concern on discontinuation of Department Promotion Committee meeting and sought conduct of these meetings at all the levels to ensure timely promotions and consequent benefits to working classes.
Shiv Kumar Sharma assured to take up all the issues with concerned authorities. Som Nath, Ajay Sharma, Raman Kumar, Chain Singh, Mohammad Akram, Munshi Ram, Fiaz Akbar Chouhan, Tahir Shawl, Kuldeep Raj, Madan Lal, Mohammad Hafiz, Showkat Ali, Mohammad Farooq, Ab. Hamid, Harbans Lal, Ashok Kumar, Surinder Singh, Liquat Ali, Bahadur Singh, Gh. Nabi, Rajinder Singh, Radhya Sham, Mangal Dass, Jyoti Parkash and Balbader Raj were present.
