JAMMU: A team of Food Safety officers of Drug and Food Control Organisation (DFCO) under the supervision of ACF Madan Magotra inspected various food establishments in Jammu city on Thursday and challaned five outlets for selling milk and milk products under unhygienic conditions.
The team challaned M/s Catino Sweets and Fast Food, Purani Mandi, Jammu, M/s Lali Shah Kulfi Wala, Purani Mandi Chowk, Jammu and M/s Billawer Bakery, Moti Bazar, Jammu for running their establishments under insanitary / unhygienic conditions.
The team also inspected quality of milk and milk products in various shops and lifted samples from M/s Jandial Cheese Corner, Panjbakhtar Road, Jammu and M/s Pargal Dairy Products, Bus Stand, Jammu for analysis of the same. The food business operators are requested to keep their premises/workshops neat and clean and comply with the provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act-2006.
