JAMMU: Panun Kashmir, a frontal organisation of Kashmiri Pandits, boycotted the visiting All Party Delegation (APD) saying that they cannot become part of the drama being played by them with nationalist forces in the State.
“The visiting parliamentarians do not appear interested in listening to the nationalist voices in the State,” said Panun Kashmir leaders, Dr Agnishekhar and Dr Ajay Chrungoo here. In this context, they pointed out that 12 Kashmiri Pandit leaders representing different organisations, invited to meet the delegation, were allotted just eight minutes between 2.55 and 3.03 PM.
How can 12 representatives representing different political parties and point of views be able to communicate anything coherent to All Party Delegation in such short time, they asked.
“Certainly we do not have the ability to communicate our view in less than a minute,” Chrungoo said, adding that “it means that governments at the Centre and in the State do not want anything worthwhile to be communicated to the delegation”.
In an apparent reference to the repeated knocks at the doors of separatist leaders in the Valley by some members of the all party delegation, both the Kashmiri Pandit leaders said that “to us it is clear that Government of India wants only the separatists and semi-separatist views to dominate the political discourse on Jammu-Kashmir”.
“It means that the Government of India wants to suppress the opinion of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists living in the State who have been facing a relentless genocidal assault from terrorists,” they added.
Announcing their decision to boycott the visiting All-Party parliamentary delegation, they said that “we can no longer close our eyes to the stark reality that the fundamental fascist religious separatism in Jammu and Kashmir is not only supported by Pakistan but receives support from within India. We have no hesitation in saying that the policies of the Indian Government treat nationalists in Jammu Kashmir as liabilities”.
Hindus of Kashmir will not submit to Islamist fascism and will never live in the servitude of an Islamic state, they said and asserted that Hindus of Kashmir will relentlessly work to destroy internal subversion and will continue its struggle for achieving the Union Territory of Panun Kashmir north east of River Jhelum.
