R S PURA: The activists of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) supported by the locals held a strong protest against PWD for the wrong planning of 10 kilometers road from Chouhala Morh to village Slehar, RS Pura. The protest was led by senior leader of the party Sham Gorkha in which the participants raised slogans against the PWD for ignoring the safety and security of the locals.
The protesters said that there had been frequent accidents on this road which has been constructed without keeping in view the ground requirement. They alleged that crores of rupees have been spent on this project which instead of bringing respite to for the people, has started bringing tragedies by frequent accidents.
The protesters demanded that the department should take immediate steps to carryout widening of this road failing which the Panthers will resort to even intensive protests. Prominent among those present include Parveen Kessar, Som Choudhary, Rajinder Singh and Lucky.
