UDHAMPUR: Panthers Party to start Panchayat Chalo campaign for a separate state of Jammu from Lakhanpur. Party leaders and workers will go the ground level to raise awareness about this issue amongst the people of Jammu.
This was stated by the State President of Panthers Party Balwant Singh Mankotia while addressing a press conference at his office on Wednesday. Mankotia said that before this Panthers Party had embarked upon another Yatra starting on April 1, last year, which went on for six months and culminated in a rally attended by thousands on 6th November, raising the demand for a separate state of Jammu. Mankotia said that now the second leg of the Yatra will go to the Panchayat level to further raise awareness amongst the people and culminate in the month of October. He appealed to the people of Jammu to join this campaign of the Panthers Party for a separate state of Jammu in huge numbers, so that in the coming years, youth of Jammu can get their rightful share in Jobs, Jammu gets is deserved share of development funds, and also to get adequate representation in the Legislative Assembly in proportion to its population and area.
Party District General Secretary Amarnath Mehra, City President, Gulshan Kesar, and Advocate Mahadweep Singh were also present.
