REASI: The inhabitants of Panthal village in Reasi District witnessed a series of awareness programmes organised by Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India’s Doda and Udhampur units. The main concept of day long programme was to promote the concept of Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Mission India, Financial Inclusion Schemes viz. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojna etc.
On this occasion seminar followed by expert lectures by resource persons and a quiz contest based on various provisions and aspects of these schemes was organised which was keenly witnessed by a large gathering comprising of students, Anganwadi supervisiors, Anganwadi workers/ helpers, teachers, Panchs, Sarpanchs, members of PRIs, local men and women.
Mamta Sharma, representative from State Bank of India, Ashwani Katoch, Principal Amba Kids Home, Capt. Nipul Katoch, Rohit Jamwal, Secretary Panchayats acted as Resource Persons and delivered key note addresses on these national programmes which are directly linked for the betterment of humanity and socio economic conditions of masses in general and poor in particular. A number of quarries were raised by the audience which were clarified by a team of experts headed by Mamta Sharma.
Gurnam Singh Incharge Field Publicity Unit, Udhampur while interacting with audience highlighted the importance of such programmes and urged upon the audience to avail maximum benefits from these schemes .
A rally of students drawn from Amba Kids Home, Panthal was also organised which passed through Main Bazar, Main Streets of Panthal with participants displaying placards, shouting slogans like Beti Bachao, Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat, Har Ghar Main Ek Bank Khata Banega Apna Bagevidata etc. and culminated at the main venue of (Amba Kids Home).
