Panel formed to reframe JKAACL Service Rules: Priya

JAMMU: Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Priya Sethi on Tuesday informed the House that 106 posts are lying vacant in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages including 29 Gazetted posts, 64 Non-gazetted and 13 Class-IV posts. The Minister said these posts are vacant as certain modifications are required in Recruitment Rules of the Academy and a Committee has been constituted for reframing these Rules. She said this while replying to a question raised by Zafar Iqbal Manhas.
The Minister said the process for filling up the vacant posts will be started as soon as the Recruitment Rules are updated, modified and reframed. Priya Sethi further stated that Rs 4.75 crore has been spent so far on the construction of Tehzeeb Mahal in Srinagar. She said the project will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 72 crore.
