JAMMU: The Government on Friday constituted a committee for successful conduct of “Fifth Phase of Back to Village Programme (B2V5)”, which is going to start soon in the Union Territory.
Principal Secretary, Finance Department has been appointed Chairman of the Committee whereas Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj; Commissioner/ Secretary, Information/ Information Technology Department; Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department; Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora; Deputy Commissioner, Ramban; and Additional Secretary, (Administration), General Department Administration will be its members.
The Committee will finalize the schedule of the Back to Village Programme, design its content and decide upon the exact information/details to be collected at Panchayat level. It will also decide upon the activities to be undertaken during the programme, which will be coordinated by Planning, Development & Monitoring Department along with Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj.
The mandate of allocation officers of Panchayats for the Programme has also been given to the Committee and General Administration Department as well as Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj will coordinate with it.
