Pakistan’s ‘parroting’

Dear Editor,
The US has snubbed Pakistan after the latter sought the supply of high-end ammunition, and has asked for an explanation for the request. It goes without saying that Pakistan is on an arms-shopping spree to browbeat India. Earlier, Pakistan had approached the United Nations for a mediatory role in Kashmir. But the UN cold-shouldered Islamabad by saying that the issue must be resolved bilaterally. Now, Pakistan has passed an anti-India resolution.
India does not want anything from Pakistan except friendship. But Pakistan does not want anything from India except Kashmir in its entirety. Pakistan wants to engage India with repeated ceasefire violations at the Line of Control and the International Border. It expects India not to retaliate. Pakistan has indeed lost a golden opportunity by not paying heed to India’s request not to negotiate with separatist outfits when Foreign Secretary level talks were to take place between the two countries.
