THANNAMANDI: Anila Akram, faculty member from A+ School System, Punjab, Pakistan delivered extension lecture at Govt. Degree College Thannamandi, under the aegis of Women Development Cell of the College. Anila briefed the audience about education and career opportunities from a woman’s point of view in Pakistan.
She apprised the students about her own struggles as a student and an academician, and the hardships which she had to face during her school and college days. She encouraged the students to set goals for their career in order to maximise their successes. She also interacted with the students and answered their queries. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Raina said that students should take inspiration from such stories and take positive steps to improve their academics.
The programme was compered by Dr. Nahim Un Nisa (HoD Arabic and Convener Women Development Cell of the College), while vote of thanks was given by Dr. Punam Rani.
