UDHAMPUR: Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra on Sunday accused the BJP of hiding their failure in delivering development on the ground and dividing people to gain votes in the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) elections.
“The BJP has not been able to ensure development in the last six years of its rule. They are contesting DDC elections on Roshni Scheme and Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) by befooling people again,” said Vikram Malhotra, addressing public meetings at Khoon, Majalta Tehsil in Udhampur district.
As a part of the election campaign in support of the party candidate, the Apni Party’s General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra addressed a series of public meetings in the constituency in support of the candidate. During election campaigns, he came to know about the deplorable condition of the DDC constituency with respect to development.
Malhotra questioned the National Conference, BJP and PAGD for their ignorance of the developmental issues and employment concerns for the educated youth in Jammu region and Mathwar constituency in particular.
“Both, PAGD and BJP are hiding behind each other and they are hand in glove for their divisive politics to gain in the ongoing elections of the DDCs and on vacant Panchayat seats,” Malhotra said. He said that the political parties which are constituent of the PAGD and BJP want to continue their politics with the division of votes on communal and regional basis and it has failed the J&K’s future prospects.
“The J&K people are nationalist to the core and these main-stream political parties have no agenda or policy for the redressal of day to day issues of the people. The people are not getting jobs, the industrial sector is sinking like tourism and the hotel industry not only in Jammu, but in Kashmir too,” Malhotra said.
He appealed to the people to strengthen the candidates of Apni Party so that the fight of statehood restoration can be taken up further under the constitution of the country.
“We have resolved to fight for the cause of the people of both the region without bias, and equal employment opportunities for the unemployed youth of J&K,” he said and assured the party’s support for the protection of land and jobs for the locals.
Malhotra reminded that how the regional as well as national political parties have played with the emotions of the people.
