JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Kunjwani always strives for the best possible educational programmes for its students. For holistic development in students, many activities are planned throughout the year.
With this aim, a special orientation program was conducted for the students of classes 6, 7 and 8 at JK Public School, Kunjwani on May 6, 2023, by team of Formula-1 (F 1) in School India, the World’s Largest STEM (Science Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Challenge, wherein school students aged between 9-19 years design miniature Formula-1 cars using CAD/CAM tools followed by manufacturing their designs on a CNC machine.
The objective of the orientation programme was to make learning fun and to cultivate a culture of research and development amongst students of the school.
The programme was organised by Team F1 in school India on STEMplify platform. Devansh Sharma and Rahul Kamal were the resource persons. 25m track was set in the assembly ground and races were conducted in miniature F1 Model Cars.
The programme changed the perception of science and technology by creating an exciting learning environment for the students. JKiians enthusiastically participated in miniature car race. They also learnt to fly a drone.
School officials present on the occasion were Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary, Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kour and School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore appreciated the Team Formula 1 for making an effective presentation, which attracted students like a magnet.
He lauded the active involvement of students who formed a periphery around the skating rink and cheered up the performers throughout the demo.
He praised the Prefect Council members and students of Secondary and Senior Secondary classes, thronging the school corridors on the first and second floors. It indeed proved to be a fun-filled day for students and teachers.
