JAMMU: Patron JKNPP, Prof Bhim Singh urged State Governor, N.N Vohra to dissolve the State Assembly without any delay to ensure that residents of J and K may live with honour, dignity and in grace as Indian citizens in J and K.
He asked Governor to dissolve the State Assembly by using his exclusive constitutional authority vested in him within the meaning and scope of Section 92 of J and K Constitution.
Bhim was commenting on the most shocking incident that shook the conscience of every citizen when two former ruling parties in J and K namely the Congress and the National Conference played foul during the Governor addressed to the Joint Session of J and K Assembly at Jammu this morning.
Bhim said that political parties that claimed to be nationalist and democratic namely the Congress and the National Conference insulted the National Anthem which was being played before the address of the J&K Governor. “It happened for the first time that two parties which claimed to be nationalist and remained in power for decades in J and K stood exposed when they resorted to the commission of heinous crime disrupting the National Anthem publically inside the decorated hall where the legislators belonging to both the Houses, Assembly and Council had gathered,” he said, adding that it is for the first in the history of J and K that Governor has failed to address the joint session only because the so-called opposition the Congress and the National Conference joined to disrupt the Governor’s address while disrupting the National Anthem.
Bhim urged the Governor of J and K to dissolve the Assembly and dismiss the government so that fresh elections can be held for the people of J and K to elect their members who stand for democracy and peace.
