‘Oorja’ CAPF U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament;J&K girls concede 0-3 defeat to Himachal

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir girls team lost to Himachal Pradesh by 0-3 in its opening match of second phase of “Oorja” CAPF under-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament (boys and girls) being organised by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Jammu Sector in collaboration with University of Jammu, here at University Ground on Tuesday.
For Himachal Pradesh, Neha scored two goals while Rekha scored one. Another match between Assam and Uttar Pradesh in girls section ended in draw, both the teams scored one goal each. For Assam a lone goal was scored by Anjali and for Uttar Pradesh goal was scored by Puja Kumari.
In boys section, Sikkim defeated Telangana by three goals to two. For Sikkim, Nikesh Gurung scored two goals and Amrit Tomang scored one. In another match, Assam outplayed Himachal Pradesh by five goals to nil. Puluak Baruah scored two goals followed by Biplab Nayak, Bishnu Bardoloi and Tenson Tisso, who scored one goal each.
Deputy Inspector General, SHQ SSB Jammu, Manvendra, Deputy Inspector General Training, P. K Gupta, Commandant 66 Bn SSB Jammu, Ajay Kumar, Commandant 7th Bn SSB Batote, Rakesh Kumar, Commandant SHQ Pilibhit, K Ranjit, Second-In-Command, Vijay Singh Jamwal, Deputy Commandant, Barjeet Singh, Deputy Commandant, Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Jeet Lal, Deputy Commandant, Kasturi Lal, AC (MO), Dr Rajat Sehgal, AC (MO), Dr Mrinalini Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Dheraj Mini, Vijay Kumar and Moon Stephen were present in today’s matches.
Tomorrow’s fixtures: J&K to face Sikkim and Uttar Pradesh to meet Telangana in girls section; J&K to clash with Assam and Sikkim to take on Uttar Pradesh in boys section.
