JAMMU: Namrta Sharma State General Secretary Pardesh Congress Committee and Incharge R.S Pura along with former minister and senior Congress leader Suman Bhagat and Ashok Sharma Secretary PCC launched a membership drive here on Sunday.
Large number of people including Sarpanchs and Panchs participated in the membership drive. While addressing the gathering, Namrta asked the people to strengthen the Congress Party as only Congress can meet the aspirations of the people of J and K. Namrta further said that Congress will come back with full strength as people of Jammu have now realised that BJP has sell out the interests of Jammu to PDP and deceived the people with false promises. She further said that BJP-PDP government has proved to be a failure due to absence of any policy or programme meant for the welfare of the people. Addressing the gathering, former Minister Suman Bhagat asked the people to strengthen the Congress party for ensuring people’s welfare.
