STATE TIMES NEWS

JAMMU: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Tuesday emphasized that Congress is the only political party capable of maintaining peace, progress, and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
He argued that Congress upholds secular and democratic values and is gaining popularity due to its progressive policies. Addressing impressive public gathering in Ward-7 Prem Nagar organized by Corporator Rittu Choudhary, Bhalla criticized the BJP government for its alleged failure to control prices of essential commodities, address unemployment issues, and listen to the grievances of the common man.
He also expressed concerns about the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories, which he claimed has led to identity and culture crises.
The leaders stressed the importance of restoring full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, suggesting that this move should precede holding Assembly Elections.
Bhalla and others positioned Congress as the primary alternative to the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, claiming that it is the only party capable of fulfilling the region’s aspirations and addressing the concerns of its people.
Bhalla called on the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reject the politics of exploitation and hatred and to embrace the region’s history of traditional harmony, peace, and secularism.
Former Minister and Incharge District Jammu Urban Yogesh Sawhney alleged that BJP betrayed the massive mandate of the people of Jammu by dividing and downgrading the Princely Historical state of Jammu and Kashmir into 2 Unions territories.

Prominent among those present on the occasion include Corporator Dewarka Choudhary, Pawandev Singh, Vinod Malhotra, Ram Magotra, Pawan Kumar, Harvinder Singh, Ravi Panotra, Asif Malik, Rakesh Kumar, Yougal Sharma, Sahil Dogra, Surinder Dogra, Rama Devi, Madhu, Nisha and Bablli Devi.
