AKHNOOR: One person was killed and 7 others injured when a rashly driven tipper collided with a bus on its way from Jammu to Akhnoor on Friday.
According to reports the bus bearing registration No JK02M-5375 which was on its way from Jammu to Akhnoor collided head-on with tipper No JK02AY-8045 near Dhiaran on Jammu – Akhnoor Road. Conductor of the bus identified as Manga Ram resident of Kaleen, Akhnoor was killed on the spot while seven others were seriously injured. All the victims were shifted to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor but due to the serious condition of five injured, they were evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
Body of the deceased was handed over to his family members after completing the legal formalities. The police have registered the case for investigation.
