JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested one bootlegger and recovered 100 liters of Lahan from their possession.
On specific information, SDPO R S Pura, Surinder Choudhary along with SHO Police Station Arnia, Inspector Satish Kumar conducted raid in village Nikowal and apprehended one person namely Bahader Singh, son of Sain Dass, resident of Nikowal, Sai for selling illicit liquor near his house. About 15 litres of refined illicit liquor, raw material and distillery material recovered on the spot. About 100 litres of Lahan was recovered which were destroyed on spot.
A case FIR- 49/17 under Section 48 (a), (e) Excise Act was registered against at Police Station Arnia.
