POONCH : The Forest Sleuths on Monday arrested one Jehangir son of Lal Din resident of village Loran, Tehsil Mandi, district Poonch for felling green fir tree in compartment No 106 Loran.
The accused was arrested by Range Officer Haveli Azmat Hussain Shah under the supervision of DFO Poonch Dr Nadeem Hussain, with the tools he used in felling the tree and was booked in a case No 22/2016-17 under section 6/39 Forest Act.
The accused was produced before the Court on the same day and was granted five days judicial remand as a result of which he was handed over to District Jail Poonch.
