REASI: Police on Monday arrested a person who was indulging in distilling illicit liquor and destroyed 500 litres of Lahan on the spot.
According to a report, a specific information was received by Reasi Police that some persons at village Bamblya Tehsil Pouni District Reasi are indulging in distilling illicit liquor.
On this information, a police party led by Sub-Inspector Jasvinder Choudhary, SHO Police Station Ransoo conducted raid in the house of Kapoor Singh son of Tirth Ram resident of village Bambla Tehsil Pouni and seized 10 litre of illicit liquor alongwith 10 Litres Lahan and all material for preparation of illegal Desi liquor from their house.
About 500 litres Lahan has also been recovered and destroyed on spot.
The accused persons have been arrested and case vide FIR No.05/2016 under section 48-(E) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Ransoo.
