KATRA: Police on Saturday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 38 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra acting on a specific input, laid a Naka at Matyal Katra near Petrol Pump. During checking/frisking, police team recovered 38 pouches of J and K Excise liquor from the possession of Shabir Ahmed son of Rashid resident of Roun Domail Tehsil and District Udhampur. The accused person has been arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor have been seized.
A case vide FIR No. 51/2016 under section 48-A Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra.
