LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh CM Helpline (1076) has become a vital tool for resolving public grievances under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Through regular oversight, numerous issues have been addressed swiftly. A recent case highlights the helpline’s impact, an elderly man in Indiranagar, Lucknow, found relief after his long-standing banking issue was resolved within hours due to high-level intervention of UP govt authorities.
Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Indiranagar, tols that his father, Sohanlal, had a joint account with his late mother, Rajeshwari. Following her recent passing, Sohanlal needed funds urgently and approached the bank with a check and her death certificate. However, bank officials informed him that withdrawals from the joint account were not possible without additional documentation to update account status. Despite completing the required paperwork, Sohanlal repeatedly visited the bank only to be told his request was still pending due to delays in processing.
After exhausting his options, Sohanlal turned to the CM Helpline (1076) on October 26, seeking assistance with his urgent financial need. The helpline team assured him of a prompt resolution, and within a short time, the issue was brought to the attention of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. Recognizing the urgency, Singh directed officials to coordinate with the bank’s general manager and branch manager to expedite the matter.
In response to Singh’s orders, bank officials took immediate action. Despite it being a Sunday, the bank opened specially to resolve Sohanlal’s issue. The funds he needed were finally disbursed, ending his prolonged wait. Sohanlal and his family expressed deep gratitude for the intervention, praising the efficiency of the CM Helpline and the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, as well as Chief Secretary Singh.
