JAMMU: Former Chief Minister and working President of the National Conference Omar Abdullah Friday invited trouble for himself by posting a collage of file pictures along with his ‘taunting’ tweet questioning silence of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Soon after Omar posted the pix his twitter account was bombarded with crisp and nasty responses from none other than long list of his army of followers.
At present Omar is one of the most popular politicians with over 1.4 lakh followers.
According to the Omar Abdullahs twitter handle soon after he posted the message, “Protesters assault police, burn their vehicle & militants given a “gun salute”. CM talks about office cleanliness!!! Omar received this message,
“Sir using Image from 2010 ? shame on you to spread lies here is the original check the date”
Another follower posted: ‘Sir, Your fake concern about J&K is clearly visible. Pls write in your Bio ‘Fake Pic Uploder’
One by one his followers came up with very interesting responses to give vent to their ire.
A follower wrote in response, “Tries a joke on himself! Uploads violent pics from his tenure and blames it on the current govt”.
Another follower wrote, “That’s Fake Image From 2010, 6 Years Old Pic. Let’s Stop Spreading Lies. #NITSrinagar”
One of the follower even went on to explain the exact date of picture and event posted the old image to silence Omar Abdullah’s followers, ” Irony Is That This Pic Was Posted On 28th June 2010, When You Were Chief Minister Of J&K. Self Goal”
Another follower jokingly posted a comment “& this joker called himself as obama of j&k back then”. An emotional follower shared his concern by posting this comment, “pather se na maro mere dewane ko #bomb ka zamana hai uda do …le ko :
An outstation follower commented, “Just looking for some political gain Stays in UK talks abt VALLEY”. A regular observer of Omar’s twitter page wrote,” Mr @abdullah_omar same was happening when u was on CM’s chair. So don’t mislead” Another passionate follower of Omar posted a comment, “to err is human, savdhani hati durghatna ghati” Omar had hit out at the Chief Minister saying she was talking about “office cleanliness” when protesters were assaulting policemen and “slain militants were given gun salute” in the Valley.
A group of residents in south Kashmir Pulwama district Thursday clashed with police personnel after a funeral of a militant killed in a gunbattle with security forces in Shopian district of the Valley.
The protesters also set ablaze a police vehicle during the violent clashes that lasted several hours.
