SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday visited three tertiary care hospitals which resumed operations after being badly affected by floods.
“Omar visited Lala Ded, SMHS and G.B Pant hospitals, here in the afternoon to take appraisal of the restoration of functioning in these hospitals,” an official spokesman said.
The Chief Minister interacted with the management of these hospitals and ascertained the progress on restoration of functioning.
Omar impressed upon the officials to take all measures for making the health institution fully functional.
The Chief Minister said that huge damage caused to health infrastructure has to be restored on war footing and focus should be laid on restoring health services in all hospitals in the Valley.
Later, Omar also inspected dewatering operations of some inundated areas in Srinagar. (PTI)
