JAMMU: The Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF), Union Ministry of Minority Affairs, has approved O.P Sharma, a veteran journalist and columnist of local daily, as Inspecting Authority for grant-in-aid under various schemes to different NGOs/institutions for the next two-year March, 2017 to 2019.
In a communication issued by Secretary MAEF, D Madhukar Naik has said the Union Minister of Minority Affairs and President, Maulana Azad Education Foundation has approved Sharma as Inspecting Authority of MAEF for two years.
Sharma’s job will be to conduct inspection of the NGO’s institutions seeking financial assistance for various purposes in respect of Maulana Azad Education Foundation, New Delhi.
It may be recalled that Sharma is MA (History) from Jammu University and also holds Diploma in Journalism from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He is already IGNOU’s Academic Counsellor for PGGMC, a one-year course. He is regularly contributing his articles to the media: print as well as electronic. He has rich experience in journalistic field and contributed articles in newspapers and magazines and also authored two books. He is associated with a number of prestigious organizations and institutions and is editing Starline Syndicate Service, news and views feature articles from Jammu.
