JAMMU: National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Sunday staged a demonstration outside Jammu University Campus against Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj for extending undue support to former Commissioner Indian Premier League (IPL) Lalit Modi and demanded her resignation.

Addressing the media persons, Uday said that it is a shameful act on the part of foreign minister to support a person who is involved in scams, corruption and other criminal activities. He said that one wonders why this government is shielding such tainted persons and contradicting their claim of being nation friendly government.
Terming Foreign Minister’s act as unwarranted, Kundan said that it is a historical fact that BJP’s words do not match with its working. Kundan also alleged that Sushma Swaraj’s nephew got admission with the help of Lalit Modi and her daughter works as lawyer of Lalit Modi therefore she has supported him.
Raqeek Khan State Vice President, Ranjodh Singh, Abhishek Dogra State Secretary, Alaie Khalid, Vishal Manhas, Govardan Manhas, Parveet Rana, Avinesh Sharma and Iqbal were also present.
