KATHUA: NSS volunteers under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Prof. Shikha and Prof Manmohan Singh launched a massive cleanliness drive in monumental parks of Kathua town. The activity was conducted in continuation with the Swachhta Pakhwara being observed by NSS units of the Govt. Degree College Kathua from August 1 to 15, 2017. Student volunteers cleaned the statues of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Capt. Sunil Choudhary Statue and Saheedi Samarak at Shaheedi Chowk, Kathua. Volunteers took this opportunity to pay homage to the Martyrs of the soil who gave supreme sacrifice for the country. The day long activity culminated with a pledge for cleanliness followed by National Anthem.
