NPSU demands videography during driving trials at RTO office

JAMMU: Lambasting the malpractices pertaining to driving test at RTO office Jammu, National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists Gheraoed the driving test site here at Narwal today.
Addressing the media persons, Th. Virender Singh, State President NPSU, disclosed that the office of the RTO Jammu had not been rendering its services in conformity with the norms and procedures.
“The trial procedure for obtaining driving license at the office had been causing grave inconvenience to the public at large,” he said and revealed that RTO conducts the aforesaid tests on Tuesday and Friday every week and the respective forms were accepted by the office on Monday and Thursday. He wondered that how could RTO conduct the trials for nearly 250 applicants twice a week in the limited time.
While Gheraoing the ARTO in the absence of RTO, Virender castigated the concerned authorities for conducting the trials without videography. NPSU demanded fair and transparent trials or else it would be forced to resort to vigorous agitation course.
