NPP resolves to continue fight for reorganization of J&K

JAMMU: Patron, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Bhim Singh on Saturday asked the Central Government for the reorganisation of the Jammu and Kashmir State which he said is the only way out to save the people of Jammu and Kashmir from further death and destruction. “Union of the State in 1846 under Treaty of Amritsar is no longer relevant after the Accession of the State with the Union of India in 1947,” Bhim said adding that the boundaries of Jammu State extend from Muzaffrabad to Kishtwar and the Jammu Pradesh shall be established within the Territory of India till the reunion of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The residents of PoK and Gilgit shall be given a free choice to choose between India and Pakistan,” he said.
Bhim singh was speaking in a special session of JKNPP heldon Saturday at Press Club, here. The session was presided over by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman of the party. Bhim also declared that the Panthers Party shall fight all the divisive forces and the war mongers so that peace is possible along the International Border and LoC for all the times.
“War is neither a solution nor useful for the people of India and Pakistan,” he said adding that Panthers Party has been fighting for peaceful coexistence between India and Pakistan and shall continue is fight for lasting peace and end of all border tensions between the two brotherly countries who belong to a common civilization and past.
Earlier, Panthers Party in a resolution resolved that Jammu and Kashmir shall be reorganized with immediate effect so that twin states are established with Jammu Pradesh and Kashmir Valley whereas Ladakh region should be established as a Union territory if they wish.
The party also resolved that there shall be one High Court and One Governor in the confederation of Jammu and Kashmir, separate legislative Assembly for each state with minimum 50 MLAs each and two legislatures of Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh shall meet once in a year either in Srinagar or in Jammu.
Others speakers included, Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, President, P.K Ganju Vice-President, Masood Andrabi Vice-President, Anita Thakur General Secretary, Yashpal Kundal President Young Panthers, Advocate Bansi Lal Sharma Spokesman, Farooq Ahmad Dar Provincial President Kashmir and Rajesh Pargotra, Provincial President Jammu. Every speaker fully supported the resolution.
