Nowshera stir: Offices back to work amid police deployment

STATE TIMES NEWS
NOWSHERA: As usual, the Nowshera market remained closed on the 47th consecutive day and protesters took out a rally in the town in which senior citizens, women and children belonging to all the three communities Hindu, Muslim and Sikh participated. In response to the call given by protesters for closing the Government offices, the Administration deployed heavy police force outside these offices to ensure that employees return to work.
President DGPC Bhopinder Singh Tiger, Sunil Gupta, Principal (Retd) Ragubir Singh, Kulwant Singh and Advocate Rajinder Prasad said that the Government is shocked of unity and integrity of all the communities of Nowshera and is hatching conspiracy to invoke the Britishers’ policy of ‘divide and rule’ and weaken their strength. They further said that their elected representatives, who have deserted Nowshera and are hiding behind PDP, are working on this conspiracy which will be foiled. They vowed solidarity with Sangharsh Samittee headed by Beopar Mandal President Subhash Kapoor and claimed that they have distanced from their elected representatives, who in the beginning raised loud slogans of resigning from their posts if Government denies District Status to Nowshera but later when Government did nothing, they left Nowshera lurching and not their posts.
