Our constitution is a result of several hundreds years’ slavery period of foreign rulers like Mughals followed by the Britishers and other European countries such as France,Portugal who not only ruled over the vast country with the enforcement of their own laws but also destroyed our traditional centuries old Indian rich culture by establishing their religions of Islamism and Christanity.Notwithstanding, the Indian leaders who were really great patriots continued “Movement of Freedom” and ultimately got Independence on August 15,1947.
The Constituent Assembly headed by Dr. Rajendra Prasad was established. On August 29,1947 the constituent Assembly set up a Drafting Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to prepare a draft of the Constitution. So,November 26 holds profound significance because of our own laws replaced British laws which remained enforced upon us over 200 years.Previously this day was celebrated as the Law Day.Dr. B.R.
